To rebalance immigration
Wednesday, December 20th, 2006In 1965 Ted Kennedy, then in his first term as U.S. senator from Massachusetts, said that the Immigration Act of that year would never alter America’s racial makeup. This blog takes Mr. Kennedy at his word, and calls on Congress to amend the Immigration Act forthwith, letting further immigrants be chosen to restore the racial balance which existed in 1965. Understanding the 2006 election
Wednesday, December 20th, 2006Having pondered the election six weeks now, if you still do not know its meaning, then I don’t, either. That the election was no victory for conservatism seems clear enough (voters who wanted more conservatism knew which party to vote; they voted the other). (more…)
